QUEENS, NEW YORK — Former Guyana national youth captain Bhaskar Yadram left spectators in absolute awe on Sunday afternoon, putting on one of the most violent displays of power-hitting ever witnessed in the New York Metropolitan Cricket League’s 2026 40-Overs Tournament.
Suiting up for powerhouse franchise Everest/ACS in a highly anticipated clash against the Amazon Jaguars, the versatile Guyanese all-rounder systematically dismantled the bowling attack from his very first delivery. Yadram blasted an unbeaten, breathtaking 177 runs off just 56 balls—a spectacular knock studded with 9 boundaries and a staggering 19 sixes.
Yadram’s batting masterclass single-handedly propelled Everest/ACS to a mammoth total of 423 in their allotted 40 overs. Facing a mountain of runs, a demoralized Amazon Jaguars batting lineup crumbled rapidly under the scoreboard pressure, collapsing to a meager 135 all out in 28.2 overs. Ensuring he impacted every facet of the game, Yadram returned to chip in with the ball, picking up 1 wicket to secure a massive, statement-making 288-run victory for his side.
