STUDENTS USE AI TO CREATE PORNOGRAPHIC VIDEOS OF TEACHER, EDUCATION MINISTRY STEPS IN AFTER PLANNED TEACHERS’ SIT-OUT

The Ministry of Education was forced to intervene at the New Campbellville Secondary School after a shocking incident in which two male students allegedly used artificial intelligence (AI) tools to create pornographic videos of a female teacher who had previously disciplined them with suspension.

The explicit AI-generated videos, which were circulated widely on social media, quickly spread among students, subjecting the teacher to humiliation and distress. Despite her formal complaints to the relevant authorities, the students reportedly remain at the school, where they continue to taunt the teacher about the fabricated content.

According to reports, the situation escalated further when the students allegedly visited the teacher’s home on Sunday and threw squibs (firecrackers) at her residence — an act that has alarmed educators and prompted outrage.

President of the Guyana Teachers’ Union (GTU), Coretta McDonald, described the students’ actions as “reprehensible”, stressing that the Education Ministry must act decisively to protect the affected teacher and ensure her safety.

“The Ministry of Education needs to act in the best interest of this teacher,” McDonald said.

In solidarity with their colleague, teachers at the school planned a sit-out protest on Tuesday. However, upon learning of the planned action, the Ministry swiftly intervened to address the situation and defuse mounting tensions among staff.

McDonald further stated that, under her leadership, the GTU will push for stronger structural measures within the education system to address students who habitually violate school rules and show disrespect toward teachers.

“We will be pressing for systemic changes that ensure discipline and accountability in our schools,” she asserted.

Repeated attempts by the Nightly News to obtain a response from the Ministry of Education were unsuccessful as of press time.
