GEORGETOWN – HGP Nightly News has confirmed that the man seen in a disturbing video beating a woman in Sophia has been arrested. Police have identified him as 30-year-old Nigel Errol, also known as “Nigel” or “One Order,” a construction worker now being processed for court.
The assault took place around 1:00 a.m. on Wednesday at Pike Street, Sophia, after the pair had reportedly been drinking. Witnesses told investigators that an argument erupted when the woman did not leave after being told to go home. What followed was a violent encounter captured on video and widely circulated online.
The footage shows a man believed to be Errol slapping, punching, and stomping the woman as she collapses to the ground. At one point he is heard taunting her and inviting repercussions, saying:
“I want go to jail, call your gun man family.”
Community sources claim this is not the first time the woman has faced violence in the relationship, alleging that she has been beaten “mercilessly” on past occasions. According to additional reports, the confrontation escalated after the woman allegedly threw a brick at Errol’s vehicle.
The victim sought medical attention later in the morning. Police have not yet released further details as the investigation continues.
