Shooting: Brigadier Omar Khan Confirmed as GNRA President

The Guyana National Rifle Association (GNRA) has solidified its leadership for the 2026โ€“2030 term. During the Annual General Meeting held on Thursday, Brigadier Omar Khan (Chief of Defence Staff of the GDF) was unanimously returned as President.

The Athletics Association of Guyana (AAG) has partnered with the Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sport and DStarr (USA) to launch a comprehensive three-year Elite Programme.

Football: Ordis FC and Motherland FC Secure Victories

Action in the Georgetown Football Association (GFA) Senior Men’s League heated up at the Plaisance Community Centre Ground on Thursday with two high-scoring fixtures.

  • Match 1: Ordis FC defeated North Stars FC 4-2. Joshua Williams, Terrence Ash, and Ishmael Glenn were the standout scorers.

Cricket: Georgetown Dominates East Coast in U-19 Clash

In the DCB 2026 Inter-Association U-19 50-Overs Tournament, Georgetown sent a clear message with a massive 180-run victory over East Coast at the LBI Ground.
