Dominica’s Prime Minister, Roosevelt Skerrit, says it’s time to engage Haiti’s gang leaders in talks, as part of wider efforts to restore order in the crisis-hit nation. His remarks come as Kenya leads a multinational security mission authorized by the UN, deploying hundreds of officers to support Haitian authorities. Haiti’s instability has worsened since the 2021 assassination of President Jovenel Moïse.
St. Vincent & the Grenadines:
Authorities have launched an investigation after a mysterious vessel carrying decomposed human remains washed ashore in Little Bay, Cherry Hill. The Royal St. Vincent and the Grenadines Police Force says the remains are yet to be identified, and the circumstances surrounding the discovery remain unclear. The incident is under active investigation.
Mexico:
Mexico is set to hold its first-ever judicial elections this Sunday — a move attracting international scrutiny.
