US Targets Central American Officials Over Cuban Medical Missions
U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio announced visa restrictions against unnamed Central American government officials alleged to be involved in Cuban medical programs accused of forced labor.
Rubio stated the move aims to “promote accountability” for those enabling exploitative practices. Cuba has long rejected such claims, asserting its medical missions reflect solidarity and international cooperation.
