FORMER NATIONAL CYCLIST ALANZO GREAVES DIES IN MOTORCYCLE ACCIDENT ON MANDELA AVENUE

The local cycling fraternity is in shock following the sudden and tragic passing of former national cyclist Alanzo Greaves, who lost his life in a motorcycle accident late Wednesday night along Mandela Avenue, Georgetown.

The 36-year-old athlete, remembered for his outstanding performances on the national stage, was pronounced dead at the scene.

Greaves had long been a familiar name in Guyana’s cycling circuit, admired for his competitive spirit and dedication to the sport. His untimely passing has left a void in both the sporting community and among those who knew him personally.

Tributes continue to pour in as athletes and fans alike reflect on the contribution he made to Guyanese cycling.
