
HGP Nightly News – The construction worker who died after a building under construction collapsed at Atlantic Gardens, East Coast Demerara, has been identified as 46-year-old Radesh Domingo.
Domingo was originally from Spring Gardens, Essequibo, but had been living at Mon Repos, East Coast Demerara, at the time of the incident.
The tragedy unfolded when the structure suddenly gave way and crashed into the yard of a nearby residence. Several workers were reportedly on the site when the building collapsed.
At least seven other persons were injured and rushed to hospital for medical treatment. The full extent of their injuries remains unclear.
Authorities have since launched an investigation to determine what caused the collapse and whether proper safety measures were in place at the construction site.
