The Ministry of Amerindian Affairs has unveiled a full calendar of activities to honor the country’s Indigenous peoples. These events will showcase the rich talent, culture, traditions, and contributions of Guyana’s First Peoples, highlighting their central role in shaping national identity.

From cultural exhibitions and traditional dances to craft displays, cuisine expos, and educational forums, the celebrations are designed to both honor heritage and inspire the next generation.

Minister of Amerindian Affairs emphasized that this year’s theme underscores the importance of unity and progress, while also safeguarding Indigenous knowledge and traditions for the future.

Communities across all ten administrative regions are expected to participate, with flagship events scheduled for Georgetown and selected hinterland villages.
