The National Assembly has once again approved the controversial Local Government amendment Bill, which was passed before but not assented to by Former President, Donald Ramotar. The legislation is designed to remove ministerial control over local authorities and places financial powers in the hands of the Local Government Commission. Erica Williams reports.
