  • Linden Stadium Nears Completion – Minister of Sport Charles Ramson Jr. says the state-of-the-art facility, now 80% complete, will be a “game-changer” for Region 10, boosting talent and community development.
  • National Coaches Meeting – Minister Steven Jacobs met with National Sports Commission coaches to strengthen efficiency and expand physical education support in schools and communities.
  • Elite League Football – Western Tigers crushed Anns Grove 6-0, GDF thrashed Fruta Conquerors 9-0, while Police FC delivered a massive 26-0 win over Mainstay Gold Stars. Santos and Moned tied 1-1.
  • Georgetown Senior League – Venjie FC and Pele FC drew 2-2; Motherland FC beat Ordis FC 6-2.
  • Rising Star Sandra Johnson – The Region 10 striker, fresh off a hat-trick in the Heritage Games, has caught the attention of French scout Joel Fchier and could soon trial with Olympique Lyonnais.
  • One Guyana Softball Finals – Regal Legends, Ariel Masters, Ariel Night Riders, and Ariel Rising Stars were crowned champions. Big prizes included motorcycles, furniture, and even a brand-new car for MVPs.
  • Upcoming Cricket – Buxton Carl Hooper Cricket Club to host a $1M “Cash Bonanza” tournament on October 11–12 with six clubs battling for glory.
