Caribbean Clash of Champions Set for This Sunday at South Dakota Circuit
The South Dakota Circuit will come alive this Sunday, November 2, for the highly anticipated Caribbean Clash of Champions motor racing event.
Guyana’s top drivers and riders will face fierce competition from the United States, Europe, and the Caribbean, as fans gear up for high-octane action.
In the Feature GT3 category, Mark Vieira will debut his Porsche GT3 Cup Car, facing off against Trinidad’s Franklyn Boodram and the UK’s Will Redford from Team AJM.
World Endurance Champion Gregg Black and fellow Englishman Dan Linfoot will race alongside Guyanese star Matthew Vieira, while Andrew King leads Group 4 ahead of Mohan Rangasamy.
Other key duels include Shan Seejatan vs Adrian Fernandes in Group 2, Azaad Hassan vs Ryan Rahaman in the Sports Tuner category, and Naresh Alves vs Jad Rahaman in the Street Tuner class.
The Rookie showdown will feature Saifudeen Roshandeen battling Ritesh Singh for top honors.
Ravens and Eagles Advance to Brusches Basketball Classic Semi-Finals
In Wednesday night’s Brusches Classic Basketball action at Retrieve Hardcourt, Linden, the Ravens outclassed Kwakwani 80–61, led by Emani Charles (16 pts) and Alroy Nurse (14 pts).
Kwakwani’s Martin Thomas scored 21 points in a losing effort.
In Game 2, the Eagles soared past the Pacesetters 68–49, with Travis Belgrave scoring a game-high 23 points, while Sheton Gillis added 14.
Both Ravens and Eagles have now joined the Victory Valley Royals and Amelia’s Ward Jets in the semi-finals, set for Saturday, November 1.
Georgetown Football League Continues Tonight
The Georgetown Football Association’s Senior Men’s League 2025 resumed at the Police Sports Club Ground, Eve Leary, featuring Vengy FC vs Northern Rangers in the first matchup, followed by Genesis FC vs Motherland FC in the nightcap fixture.
Demerara vs Essequibo in Inter-County Final Showdown
The Queensway Security Inc. Senior Men’s Inter-County Cricket Final bowls off Saturday, November 1, at the Joe Jagmohan (Hampton Court) Ground in Essequibo.
Defending champions Demerara, captained by Tevin Imlach, will take on the home side Essequibo, led by Kemol Savory.
Both teams are in top form, and the match is expected to deliver thrilling cricket from 9:00 a.m. in Cinderella County.
West Indies Sweep Bangladesh in T20 Series
The West Indies completed a 3–0 T20 series sweep over Bangladesh with a five-wicket victory in Chittagong on Friday.
Bangladesh were bowled out for 151 (20 overs), with Tanzid Hasan top scoring with 89.
Romario Shepherd starred with the ball, claiming a hat-trick and finishing with 3–36, supported by Khary Pierre and Jason Holder, who took two wickets each.
The Windies chased down the target in 16.5 overs, reaching 152–5, thanks to half-centuries from Ackeem Auguste and Roston Chase, who was named Player of the Match.
Romario Shepherd received the Player of the Series award for his all-round brilliance.
