Over a month ago, the National AIDs Programme Secretariat (NAPs) introduced HIV self-test kits, OraQuick, to the population, available at four medical facilities in the capital city. Joel Vogt reports that more than 800 individuals have used HIV self-testing kits since the National AIDS Programme Secretariat (NAPS) introduced this alternative to the local community one year ago.

Later this month, the first-ever official HIV Self-testing pilot programme will be launched locally. The National AIDs Programme Secretariat has procured more than 200 testing kits whichwill be distributed to kick start this initiative geared at increasing access to HIV testing services.
