Georgetown, Guyana – The Election Fraud Trial entered its 30th day on Thursday before Acting Chief Magistrate Faith McGusty, with Minister of Culture, Youth and Sports Charles Ramson Jr. taking the witness stand.

Ramson Jr. recounted several key events tied to the disputed March 2020 General and Regional Elections, which remain at the center of the fraud case. Under questioning, the Minister provided details of his observations but could not confirm whether the Guyana Elections Commission (GECOM) had published authenticated Statements of Poll (SOPs) before releasing results to the public.

The case continues to probe allegations that officials at GECOM conspired to manipulate the outcome of the March 2020 elections. Multiple witnesses, including politicians and technical staff, have already been called to testify.

The trial has entered a critical phase, with both the prosecution and defense preparing to expand their witness lists as the matter moves forward in the Georgetown Magistrates’ Court.
