DAY 27-ELECTION FRAUD TRIAL….SHUMAN ADMITS LJP DESTROYED ALL COMPLAINTS AND ELECTION RECORDS AFTER 2020 POLLS

Schuman Concedes No Evidence Preserved in 2020 Elections Case

Former presidential candidate of the Liberty and Justice Party (LJP)Lennox Shuman, appeared before Acting Chief Magistrate Faith McGusty in the Georgetown Magistrates’ Court, where defense attorneys pressed him on the steps his party took to document evidence during the contentious March 2020 elections.

Shuman admitted that although the LJP had filed for a recount in Region Four, the largest electoral district, he could not present any ballot box numbers, written complaints, or records of irregularities. He confirmed that his party disposed of all documents once the recount ended and the final declaration was made—despite giving a police statement on August 27, 2020, in connection with the criminal investigation.

Earlier, Shuman detailed what he observed at the Ashmins Building tabulation center, describing a “commotion” involving political operatives and then Chief Election Officer Keith Lowenfield. He testified that GECOM staffer Clairmont Mingo initially projected Statements of Polls for agents to view but later began making errors, drawing protests from party representatives.

According to Shuman, he later saw Mingo leave the main area with a laptop, enter another room, and continue working with a flash drive and printer, producing what he described as “pre-populated results” for Region Four. This triggered further objections from political representatives present.

The matter was adjourned until Tuesday, when Shuman will return for continued cross-examination.
