Georgetown, Guyana – August 30, 2025 – The Assembly for Liberty and Prosperity has named Elder Rondell Beavon Nedd as its Prime Ministerial Candidate.
Nedd is well known for his work in youth empowerment across Guyana and the Caribbean. He first made his mark as the founding Treasurer of the Guyana National Youth Council, where he led major national campaigns including the “Ink It Up” civic and voter education drive and the COVID-19 “Wash” prevention campaign.
He currently serves with USAID’s Youth Resilience, Inclusion, and Empowerment Program, where he works to strengthen systems that support youth development, and he also coordinates the Youth ALLIES program to ensure that young voices remain central to democratic processes.
Beyond advocacy, Nedd is active in his community as a youth leader in Mocha Arcadia and has regional roles with the Caribbean Development Bank’s Future Leaders Network and the Caribbean Youth Climate Council. He is also the Founder of Pioneer Accounting Academy, which trains and mentors students under the motto “Striving for Excellence.”
Academically, he holds degrees in Public Management from the University of Guyana and in Cost Accounting from Jain University in India. He has also represented Guyana at the National Youth Parliament and is certified in public speaking.
The ALP says Elder Nedd represents a new generation of leadership committed to liberty, prosperity, and sustainable development. His candidacy is expected to energize young voters and widen national debate on democracy, climate resilience, and growth.
