ActionINVEST Caribbean Inc., through its coaching arm ActionCOACH Guyana, has joined forces with the World Trade Centre Georgetown (WTCG), the Institute of Private Enterprise Development (IPED), and Demerara Bank Ltd. to stage a dynamic Business Growth Seminar aimed at boosting the competitiveness and long-term sustainability of Guyanese enterprises.

The seminar, held on November 12, 2025, brought together business owners, executives, and managers for a morning of strategic insight and capacity building at the World Trade Centre Georgetown. The event centered on proven business development models and practical tools for scaling companies in Guyana’s evolving economy.

Business Master Coach Dr. Vishnu Doorga delivered key sessions on ActionCOACH’s globally recognized frameworks, including the Six Steps to Massive Results and the Five Ways to Grow a Business. He challenged attendees to identify the main bottlenecks within their operations—whether finance, marketing, staffing, time management, or customer definition—and take decisive steps toward improvement.

IPED’s Marketing Manager, Robert Williams, highlighted the organization’s accessible financing and advisory services, particularly for micro- and small-enterprises. He noted that several participants had already benefitted from IPED loans through partnerships with WTC Georgetown and ActionCOACH.

“We don’t see ourselves as competitors,” Williams said. “We see ourselves as building blocks—support systems for young entrepreneurs with ideas, passion, and the drive to succeed.”

WTC Georgetown Executive Director Kurt Campbell reiterated the center’s commitment to strengthening Guyana’s entrepreneurial ecosystem. He emphasized that MSMEs must adopt strategic thinking, discipline, and commitment to thrive in an increasingly competitive business environment.

“You’re not in business to lose money,” Campbell remarked. “Success requires sacrifice, attention to detail, and a deliberate approach to growth.”

The seminar marks another collaborative effort to equip Guyanese businesses with the tools needed to excel locally, regionally, and globally.
