Motor Racing: Shairaz Roshandin Elected GMR&SC President
The Guyana Motor Racing & Sports Club (GMR&SC) has a new leader following one of the highest voter turnouts in its history. Mohamad Shairaz Roshandin secured a landslide victory at the Annual General Meeting, defeating incumbent Mahendra Boodhoo 123 to 61.

- Development Path: The tournament is the culmination of years of outreach, including equipment donations to Aurora, Abram Zuil, and Anna Regina Multilateral schools, and a 2025 training session for 20 teachers led by Emilia Ramdhani.
- The Format: AirBadminton is a wind-resistant version of the sport played on sand or grass. This “Sand Event” aims to develop regional talent in partnership with Badminton Pan Am.

Football: MODEC Tertiary Tournament Enters Quarterfinals
The inaugural Petra-organized MODEC Tertiary Football Tournament is down to the “Elite Eight.” On Saturday, the remaining teams received full playing kits during a ceremony at the Ministry of Education.
