MAN LOSES LIFE AFTER LORRY TOPPLES

  • May have died as a result of drowning.

 

Stephen Culley of Soesdyke, East Bank Demerara, met a tragic end after the lorry in which he was travelling, toppled into a river.

The incident is reported to have occurred sometime around 19:30hrs, but the body of the 24 year old was recovered until later in the evening.

 

Police have stated that the lorry was on its way over the Mowasi Bridge in Potaro when its rear wheel slid off, resulting in the vehicle toppling. Culley was reportedly in the vehicle at the time of the incident. Police sources are suggesting he may have died as a result of drowning, but are awaiting the completion of an official Post Mortem Examination.
