Racing fans will have to wait a few more weeks before the rubber hits the tarmac. The highly anticipated 2026 Nitro Kart Klash has officially been rescheduled from its original March 28–29 date to April 19, 2026.
- The Reason: Organizer Andre Rochford of Jumbo Jet Events confirmed that the shift was necessary due to a late shipment of new karts.
- The Venue: The event, held in collaboration with the GMR&SC and 555 Speedway, remains slated for the Thomas Lands circuit.

The National Cultural Centre Tarmac is set to transform into a cricket hub from March 28–29 for the 2026 All-Secondary Schools Tape Ball Tournament.
- The Format: Sponsored by Mike’s Pharmacy, the tournament features an 8-a-side format starting at 9:00 AM daily.
- The Teams: Heavy hitters such as Queen’s College, St. Joseph’s High, and Mackenzie High School in Linden are expected to compete for the title.
Cricket: Jonathan VanLange Steals the Show in DCC Victory Over ACS
The American Cricket Society (ACS) tour of Guyana faced a tough challenge at the DCC Ground in Georgetown on Wednesday in a high-scoring thriller.
- The Total: ACS posted a massive 226-6 in their 20 overs, driven by a superb unbeaten 96 from Bhaskar Yadram.
- The Chase: The Demerara Cricket Club (DCC) responded with clinical precision. Brandon Jaikarran set the foundation with a brilliant 58, but it was West Indies U-19 Vice Captain Jonathan VanLange who sealed the deal with an unbeaten 68, leading DCC to 227-5 with just two balls to spare.
