Eden Corbin now proudly stands as an attorney-at-law — a graduate of the Hugh Wooding Law School and one of the newest members of Guyana’s legal fraternity. His journey from uncertainty to achievement is a story of faith, family, and perseverance.
For Eden, the path to the bar was anything but straightforward. In high school, he admitted that science wasn’t his strong suit, and he had no clear career direction. That changed when he switched to Business and Law at CAPE, discovering a genuine passion for the field.
“Everything I did made sense — I was eager to read and learn. I guess I was just inspired by learning a lot,” he shared.
Like many law students, Eden faced sleepless nights, frustration, and self-doubt. Yet, his determination and strong family support kept him grounded.
“It reminded me that the journey was worth every challenge and setback,” he reflected.
When the long-awaited day of his Call to the Bar arrived, Eden described it as “a moment of great humility and inner peace.”
“It was fulfilling — this is where I always wanted to be. I felt at peace with everything.”
Now practicing in Guyana, Eden is involved in several areas of law, including prosecution and legislative drafting, but says he is especially passionate about entertainment and intellectual property law — fields that combine his love for creativity and justice.
His message to aspiring law students is simple yet powerful:
“You don’t have to be the smartest or most outspoken. Just work hard, read, prepare, and be diligent.”
For Eden Corbin, being admitted to the bar is not the end of his journey, but the beginning of a lifelong commitment to justice, integrity, and service.
