The APNU/AFC assembled at the square of the revolution before their planned March to City Hall. The initial assembly attracted throngs of party supporters who where all in high spirits.One thing that was evident was the support that party gained from the youth population as it prepared to present its list. The Guyana Elections Commission’s RO, Clairmont Mingo on Friday night declared APNU+AFC the winner of the general and regional elections in Region Four. He said APNU+AFC won 136,057 and the People’s Progressive Party (PPP) 77,231, while in the Regional Elections saw APNU+AFC getting 130,289 and the PPP 74,827. .
