Although the Alliance For Change (AFC) did not secure a seat in the 13th Parliament, acting leader David Patterson says the party will continue to play its role as a watchdog over the government’s actions.
Patterson told HGPTV Nightly News that the absence of parliamentary representation will not silence the AFC, stressing that the party remains committed to holding the government accountable on issues of transparency, governance, and service delivery.
He emphasized that the AFC’s advocacy will continue through public forums, the media, and community engagement, ensuring that citizens’ voices are not lost in the national debate.
Despite its electoral setback, Patterson noted that the AFC’s mission is to keep pressing the government on its promises and policies, adding that “Parliament is not the only place where accountability happens.”
