As a prelude to the ongoing International Business Conference (IBC), the 7th Edition of the Who’s Who in Guyana Business Directory was officially launched on Monday evening at the Guyana Marriott Hotel, Kingston.

The publication, which serves as a comprehensive guide to Guyana’s corporate landscape, was unveiled by Dr. Vishnu Doerga, Chairman of the Suriname–Guyana Chamber of Commerce, who described the 2026 Edition as one that “captures the true spirit of connection” among the business community.

“The IBC is really making the Who’s Who real — bringing all these people on the pages to life,” Dr. Doerga said. “We also want to thank the printing companies that helped us, and we continue to tell our Caribbean brothers and sisters: come and invest here.”

The Who’s Who in Business Directory serves as a strategic tool for organizations seeking to build partnerships, attract investors, and expand alliances in Guyana. Economic sectors organize the publication, featuring company profiles, key executives, contact details, and photographs of industry leaders.

Delivering remarks, Her Excellency Jane Miller, British High Commissioner to Guyana, urged local businesses to leverage the directory as a networking platform to market themselves globally.

“It is your responsibility to make your business do well — market yourself and reach out to the international community,” she advised. “Guyana is growing incredibly fast, not just in numbers but in skills.”

Miller further cautioned entrepreneurs to manage expectations:

“It’s always better to under-promise and over-deliver — build your capacity and don’t oversell yourself.”

Meanwhile, Minister of Tourism, Industry and Commerce, Hon. Oneidge Walrond Rodrigues, praised the publication’s ongoing contribution to Guyana’s private sector visibility and competitiveness.

“The Who’s Who Directory continues to help local actors project themselves globally, attract credible partnerships, and strengthen the scaffolding for sustained growth across all sectors,” Minister Rodrigues stated.

She reaffirmed the government’s commitment to digitization, improving the ease of doing business, and diversifying the economy, emphasizing that “Guyana is open for business and ready to work with the world.”

Also attending the event were Mr. Peter Ramsaroop, Chief Investment Officer and CEO of GO-Invest, and Mr. Kaplan Mobray, keynote speaker at the International Business Conference.

The launch of the 7th Edition of the Who’s Who in Business Directory sets the tone for a week of strategic dialogue, networking, and collaboration, aligning with Guyana’s growing reputation as a regional hub for investment and innovation.
