Rhema Creations’ 3rd Edition Of Voice Of The Bride, A Night Of Revival Set For Friday October 30

GEORGETOWN, GUYANA — As spiritual leaders voice increasing concern over younger generations drifting away from their religious foundations, local Christian enterprise Rhema Creations is mobilizing worshippers, recording artistes, and intercessors from across the country for the third edition of ‘Voice of the Bride’—a half-night revival dedicated to national spiritual restoration, prayer, and creative expression.

Conceived and directed by prominent Guyanese worship leader and recording artiste Althea Elias, the encounter is scheduled for Friday, October 30, 2026, running from 6:00 PM to midnight at the Calvary Assembly of God Church, situated at McDoom on the East Bank of Demerara.

The gathering seeks to provide an open, non-judgmental atmosphere where youth and seasoned believers alike can re-anchor their faith. Elias emphasized that the movement also serves as a direct response to what she views as a troubling institutional passivity, arguing that the Christian community must find its prophetic voice and actively engage in the moral, social, and spiritual challenges facing modern Guyana.

The Mandate: Ending the Church’s Silence on National Issues

Addressing the core objective behind founding the initiative, Elias noted that the body of Christ cannot afford to remain detached from the daily realities of the nation:

  • Active Civic and Spiritual Presence: Elias contended that the church has frequently been silent on critical national issues, explaining that Voice of the Bride is designed to demonstrate that Christian believers remain fully engaged in the affairs of the nation.
  • Engaging the Next Generation: While welcoming worshippers of all demographics, the initiative places a targeted focus on teenagers and young adults navigating modern cultural pressures, using music, contemporary poetry, and the creative arts to bridge generational divides.

“Unfortunately the church has been silent on a lot of things, and we wanted to show Guyana that the church is very present in anything relating to Guyana.” — Althea Elias, Director of Rhema Creations

Scriptural Symbolism: 2 Chronicles 7:14 and Jeremiah 33:11

Explaining the theological identity of the initiative, Elias stated that the term “Bride” serves as the biblical metaphor for the church awaiting Christ:

  • Scriptural Roots in Isaiah and Jeremiah: Elias highlighted that the name draws from prophetic scriptures in the Book of Isaiah and Jeremiah 33:11, which celebrates the sounds of joy, gladness, the voice of the bridegroom, and the voice of the bride praising God for His enduring mercy.
  • National Repentance and Healing: The revival is anchored in the foundational promise of 2 Chronicles 7:14, which conditions territorial healing on prayer and humility:

“If my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and I will forgive their sin and will heal their land.” — 2 Chronicles 7:14

  • Prostration and Restoration: Rather than a formal concert, Elias described the evening as an altar of intercession where believers can lay aside routine religious protocols to intercede for personal breakthroughs and national renewal.

“We chose the name taken from a scripture taken in Isaiah which speaks about voice of the bride and bridegroom… revival in the world at large.”

“We want to present the people of God where we prostrate before God and call out to Him so He can bring restoration to our lives.”

Ministrations: Gospel Artistes and Spoken Word Ministers

The half-night vigil will integrate traditional congregational worship with dynamic performing arts, featuring an array of Guyanese gospel ministers:

  • Gospel Vocalists: Scheduled musical ministrations include leading worship ministers Ronnel Gonsalves, Joanna Singh, Faith Corrica Nedd, and convener Althea Elias.
  • Spoken Word & Creative Arts: Christian poet Mishael Henry alongside local youth worship teams will deliver dramatic spoken word pieces addressing identity, purpose, and spiritual conviction.

The convener extended an open invitation to unchurched youth, community members, and families across Region Four, emphasizing that the evening at McDoom aims to restore hope and rekindle a passion for God across Guyana.
