Forward Guyana Movement’s presidential candidate, Amanza Walton-Desir, has frontally rejected the notion that the People’s Progressive Party/Civic is playing fair in the run-up to the September 1 elections.
Speaking on the Focus podcast, Walton-Desir accused the incumbent of blurring the line between party and state, using government resources and sensitive data for political advantage.
She charged that such actions represent a direct abuse of public trust and warned that the misuse of citizens’ private information poses a dangerous precedent for democracy in Guyana.
Walton-Desir maintained that a clear separation between state institutions and partisan interests is necessary to protect citizens’ rights and ensure free and fair elections.
