
HGP Nightly News – A 26-year-old woman was on Monday remanded to prison in connection with the death of her seven-year-old daughter, in a case that has shocked the Corentyne community and drawn widespread national attention.
The accused, Sarah Elizabeth Shivpersaud, is facing a murder charge over the death of Isabella Dabadial, who was found dead at the family’s Fyrish Road home on Sunday, April 5.
According to reports, Shivpersaud appeared before the court and was remanded after being charged in relation to the child’s death.
The matter stems from allegations that the seven-year-old was strangled at the family’s home, an incident that has since triggered grief, outrage and continued public discussion about the circumstances surrounding the tragedy.
